Our atmosphere is composed mainly of nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%) and argon (1%).
It's an almost infinite source of free oxygen. Thanks to a new-generation ceramic membrane, ION converts molecular oxygen into ionized oxygen atoms using an electrochemical process. On contact with the membrane, the atoms are immediately attracted to the front face of a solid ceramic crystal, capable of accepting only oxygen ions.
A small DC voltage applied (less than 1 volt) ionizes the oxygen molecules and forces the ions to migrate through the ceramic crystal. They then emerge at the back of the ceramic membrane and are immediately recombined back into oxygen molecules.
No compressor or machine
ION produces oxygen under pressure from ambient air, without a compressor! It's the electrical "force" applied to the electrochemical cell that forces the oxygen to migrate efficiently through the ceramic membrane, generating pressurized oxygen up to 12 bar.
No consumables
ON produces ultra-pure oxygen using ionic technology that requires no consumables. The new-generation ceramic membrane at the heart of the system is not subject to wear.
High reliability
ION is a highly reliable generator: it has no moving parts or rotating machinery requiring regular maintenance or presenting a risk of breakdown.
